THE 40-MILE GHT SYSTEM IS REALLY LONGER THAN 40 MILES!

The GHT System will connect all the town centers in eastern Vilas County – Eagle River, Conover, Phelps, and Land O' Lakes. It will also connect to the Wilderness Lakes Trails around Land O' Lakes, the Three Eagle Trail running from Eagle River to Three Lakes, and the Heart of Vilas System extending from St. Germain through to Manitowish Waters via Sayner and Boulder Junction.

About two-thirds of the GHT System will also be used for snowmobiling in winter.

GHT's trails and the entire countywide trail system will be useful to everyone - local school kids, people doing errands, and folks from near and far who will have additional reasons to come up to enjoy the Northwoods. And additional reasons to partake of the goods and services offered by businesses here.
